Prime CV writes CVs and matches Zimbabwean vacancies to the people who use it. Doing that means handling personal information about you, and some about other people you name. This page says exactly what we hold, who else sees it, and what you can make us do about it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

Who is responsible

Prime CV, operating in Zimbabwe, decides what is collected and why — in data-protection terms, we are the data controller. You can reach us on WhatsApp at +263 71 752 5594 or by email at olgagiftbanda@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • Your account: name, email address, and optionally your phone, WhatsApp number and the town you live in.
  • Your CV: whatever you paste or upload — your work history, education, skills, and the answers you give to our questions.
  • What you are looking for: the roles, industries and locations you want.
  • Your referees: if you include them, their names, job titles, employers and contact details. See the section on referees below — this one matters.
  • Payments: the amount, the method and the reference you give us. We never see or store your EcoCash PIN, bank details or card numbers.
  • Notifications: if you turn on alerts, a token identifying your browser.

What we deliberately do not collect

We do not ask for and will not store your national ID number, marital status or religion, even though CVs in Zimbabwe often carry them. They are not needed to get you a job, and information that is never collected cannot be leaked. If your pasted CV contains them, they are not carried into the CV we produce.

Who else sees it

We use other companies to run the service. They act on our instructions and may not use your information for anything else.

WhoWhat they getWhy
Anthropic (United States)The text of your CV and your answers to our questions.Reads your CV, works out what is missing, and writes the improved version.
Supabase (database hosting)Everything you give us.Stores your account, your CVs and your job matches.
Google (Gmail)Your name, email address and job matches.Sends you your job-match emails.

Your CV is sent outside Zimbabwe. The AI that reads and rewrites it runs in the United States. We ask for your explicit agreement to that when you sign up, because it is the basis on which we are allowed to send it. You can withdraw that agreement at any time, free of charge — but we cannot write or improve your CV without it, so the CV part of the service would stop working for you.

We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to employers. Applying for a job is something you do yourself, with the CV we give you.

Your referees

If you list referees, you are giving us information about someone who has never dealt with us. We ask you to confirm you have their permission before you do. Referees can ask us to remove their details at any time by contacting us, and we will, without needing to involve you.

If you would rather not name anyone, every CV we produce supports “References available on request”, which is normal and expected — that is our default.

How long we keep it

  • Your account and CVs: until you delete them, or ask us to.
  • Job matches: kept so you can look back at lists you were sent.
  • Payment records: kept while you are a client and afterwards for our own accounts.

You can delete your account yourself from the Account page. That removes your profile, your CVs and your job matches.

What you can ask us to do

  • See everything we hold. Download it as a file from your Account page, any time, without asking us.
  • Correct it. Edit it yourself, or tell us.
  • Delete it. From the Account page, or ask us.
  • Withdraw your consent. At any time, free, without giving a reason.
  • Complain. To us first, and to the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ), which supervises data protection in Zimbabwe.

Keeping it safe

Your information is held in a database that requires a login, and the rules controlling who can read which rows are enforced by the database itself rather than by the website. If something does go wrong and your information is affected, we will tell the regulator within the time the law requires, and tell you.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will ask you to agree again rather than assume the agreement you already gave still covers it.
