How Prime CV works
The short version of everything. If you want the binding wording, that is in the privacy policy and terms.
Writing your CV
You paste the CV you already have, or upload it as a Word file or PDF. We read it, work out what is missing, and ask you about those gaps — the end date on a job, how many people you supervised, what changed because of your work. Then we write the improved version.
The reading and writing is done by an AI service called Anthropic, which is in the United States. That means the text of your CV leaves Zimbabwe. It is not used to train anything and it is not sold. We need your agreement before we can do this, which is what the tick box at signup is for, and you can take that agreement back at any time by messaging us.
Nobody at Prime CV reads your CV before you do. The writing is done by software and it comes straight to you. That is deliberate — it is why it takes minutes rather than days, and why it costs what it does — but it means you are the one checking it. Read it properly before you send it anywhere. You can edit every part of it, and we show you what employers’ screening software reads in it so you are not judging it blind.
We only write what is true
We make your real experience read well. We do not invent jobs, qualifications, dates or skills, and we will not add something to your CV because an employer asked for it if you have not actually done it. If a job wants five years and you have two, we show your two years as strongly as they deserve.
This matters for you, not just for us: a claim that falls apart in an interview costs you the job and your reputation. What you say in an interview has to match what is on the page.
What we ask for, and what we never ask for
We ask for what an employer needs to judge you on: your name, how to reach you, where you are, what you have done, what you studied, and what you can do.
We never ask for your national ID number, your marital status, or your religion — and if your current CV contains them, we leave them out of the new one. Zimbabwean CVs have carried these for years out of habit. They give an employer nothing except a way to judge you on something that is not the job, and an ID number in a document you email around is a genuine risk to you.
Your date of birth is optional. Photographs are not included on our templates. A short headline about the work you do says more than any of it.
Your referees
If you list referees, ask them first. Their name and phone number is their personal information, not yours, and you are the one giving it to us. If you would rather not, choose “references available on request” and we will print exactly that — no names, no numbers.
Job matching
We collect vacancies advertised publicly in Zimbabwe and compare them against what you have told us you are looking for. The ones that fit appear in your account. It runs on a schedule, so you do not have to check back — there will be something there when there is something to show you.
Every match shows you the role, the employer, the location, the closing date, the job board it came from and a direct link to the advert. There are no tiers and nothing is held back.
We do not apply for anything on your behalf and we never send your CV or your details to an employer. You apply yourself, in your own name. We are not a recruitment agency and we have no relationship with the employers whose adverts we show you — a match means the advert looks like a fit, not that anyone is expecting your application.
Paying
Your CV is $15 once. Writing it and reading the whole draft costs nothing — you pay when you want to download it, and after that you can edit it and download it again as often as you like, with no monthly charge.
Job matching is $10 a month, charged one month at a time. Pay by EcoCash, OneMoney or card. There is no card kept on file and nothing renews on its own: when you stop paying, it simply stops.
Your data is yours
You can download everything we hold about you from your account page, as a single file, at any time. You can delete your account from the same page, which removes your CVs, your matches and your profile.
If you want your consent withdrawn but your account kept, or you want to correct something, message us on WhatsApp +263 71 752 5594 or email olgagiftbanda@gmail.com. It is free and you do not have to give a reason.
What we ask of you
- Tell us the truth about your experience. We write it up; we cannot verify it.
- Use your own account. It is your CV history, and sharing it exposes your details.
- Ask your referees before you list them.
- Do not pass our job lists on wholesale — they are part of what you pay for.
If something goes wrong
Message us. If the CV comes back wrong, or a payment does not appear on your account, we will sort it out — that part is still a person. If we ever lose control of your data, we will tell you and the regulator; we are required to do that within 24 hours, and we would tell you anyway.
